Terms of Service

Acceptance of these terms

QR Today is operated by Agents Autonomous LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("we", "us"). By using QR Today, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the service. You must be at least 13 years old to use the service, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live (or have a parent or guardian's permission). We've tried to keep things plain and readable, but if anything is unclear, just ask.

What the service is

QR Today lets you generate QR codes. Static codes are free and don't require an account. Dynamic codes, which you can edit after printing, plus the analytics that track scans, are tied to an account.

Your content and your responsibility

You own the content you put behind your codes — the links, files, and text are yours, and the QR code images you generate are yours to use, including commercially. You give us only the limited license we need to host that content, run your redirects, and display your codes back to you. In exchange, you're fully responsible for it: for what your codes link to, for having the rights to anything you upload, and for complying with the laws that apply to you and your audience. We host and redirect; we don't review, endorse, or take responsibility for where your codes point.

Acceptable use

Keep it clean and fair. When you create codes, you agree not to:

  • Link to content that's illegal, harmful, or designed to deceive people.
  • Use codes to spread malware, phishing pages, or scams.
  • Abuse the redirect system, for example by overloading it or pointing codes somewhere they shouldn't go.
  • Infringe on anyone else's rights or break the law where you operate.

We may disable individual codes, or suspend or terminate accounts, that violate these rules — immediately and without refund where the violation is serious. If you believe a code made with QR Today infringes your rights or is being used for abuse, report it to hello@qr.today and we'll investigate.

Scanning codes made by others

Codes created with QR Today lead to content chosen by their creators, not by us. If you scan someone's code, you reach their destination at your own discretion — we're not a party to whatever you find there, and we're not responsible for third-party websites, products, or services a code links to.

Your account

If you create an account, you're responsible for keeping your login details safe and for what happens under your account. Let us know right away if you think someone else has access.

Free trial

Creating an account starts a 7-day Pro trial. No card is required. During the trial your dynamic codes work fully — you can edit destinations and see scan analytics. We send reminder emails as the trial runs down; you can opt out of the optional ones, and we always send one final service notice before anything changes.

What happens when a trial or subscription ends

When your trial ends without a subscription, or a paid subscription lapses, your dynamic codes pause: scanning them shows a reactivation page instead of your content. Your account, codes, and settings stay intact, and subscribing reactivates every code at the same printed link, immediately. Static codes are unaffected — they carry their content directly and keep working. Paused accounts and their codes are retained for 90 days after the lapse; after that we may delete them.

Billing and renewal

Pro costs $19 per month or $99 per year, charged through Stripe, our payment processor. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. For yearly plans we email a renewal notice about 30 days before the renewal date. You can switch plans, update your card, or cancel anytime from the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and your codes keep working until then. We may change prices, but never mid-cycle — any change applies from your next renewal, with advance notice. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable.

Our stuff

The service itself — the software, design, name, and branding of QR Today — belongs to us. These terms give you the right to use the service, not to copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or rebrand it.

Availability and warranties

QR Today is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We work to keep redirects fast and available, but we don't promise the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, QR Today and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, lost business, or the cost of reprinting materials — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $100 if you haven't paid us anything. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that can't legally be excluded, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Indemnification

If someone brings a claim against us because of content you put behind your codes, or because you broke these terms or the law, you agree to cover the costs and damages that result, including reasonable legal fees.

Termination

You can stop using the service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, if we're required to by law, or if we discontinue the service — in which case we'll give you reasonable notice where we can so you can export your data. Sections that by their nature should survive (like liability limits and indemnification) survive termination.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that we can't resolve informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and both sides consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing anything, please email us at hello@qr.today — most issues can be sorted out with a conversation. If you live somewhere whose consumer-protection laws give you mandatory rights or a local venue, nothing here takes those away.

General

If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. Our not enforcing a provision isn't a waiver of it. These terms, together with the privacy and cookie policies, are the whole agreement between us about the service. You can't transfer your rights under these terms without our consent; we may assign ours as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time as the product evolves. When we do, we'll change the date below, and for material changes we'll give you advance notice by email or in the app. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the new terms.
